OBJECTIVE:

A career opportunity in Computer-Aided Drafting/GIS-Information Technology. My qualifications for this position are based upon 19 years of experience utilizing vast expertise in organization and management in the field of Computer-Aided Drafting/GIS -Information Technology Services.                        

                

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

AECOM/Tyco/Earth Tech/Rust Environmental & Infrastructure, Denver -Englewood, CO

             Computer Aided Draftsman/GIS Technician, 6/95 - Present

 

Responsibilities include the use of AutoCAD Map Civil 3D 2014& ArcGIS 10.2.2 in primarily civil, architectural, environmental, survey, and mechanical drafting. Using reference files and obtained field survey data, informative and useable maps are created primarily for the United States Air Force. Data tables from Excel and Word files are attached and imported into AutoCAD - ArcGIS drawings and successfully linked to be updated each time a drawing is opened and sent to a client. Plan and Isometric views are drawn on a regular basis along with three-dimensional drawings. Additional responsibilities include the use of Microstation V8, Land Development, Adobe Illustrator, and Inroads. Also qualified for field surveying on site.

 

Specific Projects:

 

SIA Air Force Facility Assessment, Geographical Information Systems, consisting of 8 bases. Edwards AFB, Maelstrom AFB, Nellis AFB, Luke AFB, Kirtland AFB, Fairchild AFB, Vandenberg AFB & Davis-Monthan AFB. Field survey of the entire bases, using a GIS Personal Geodatabase consisting of Feature Datasets, Feature Classes, Fields, and Metadata associated with each of the Feature Classes and importing the data into AutoCAD Map Civil 3D 2014 and ESRI ArcMap 10.2.2.

Road realignment survey data was then brought into Civil 3D and exported to configurations that would best meet the air forces requirements.

 

Chicago CTA Transit System: Using AutoCAD Map Civil 3D 2012 a detailed study was performed

of the Chicago Transit System where I gathered as-built cad vector files and compared them to what was

truly out in the field and adjusted the CAD and GIS to match. The customer was then provided with an updated database complete with a new inventory of track structures and lengths, along with Maintenance Facilities showing all new architectural renovations and additions.

 

 

ELSWORTH AFB, Geographical Information Systems, Rapid City, S. Dakota. Field survey of the entire electrical system using Trimble Field Collector 5800. Data obtained in State Plain NAD 83 US Survey Feet coordinates and exported to Trimble Office Software. Using a GIS Personal Geodatabase consisting of Feature Datasets, Feature Classes, Fields, and Metadata associated with each of the Feature Classes.

 

ACC Canon AFB, Geographical Information Systems, Clovis, New Mexico. Field survey of the entire utility system for the Air Force Base using Trimble Field Collector 5800. Data obtained in WGS 1984 UTM Zone 13N Traverse Mercator coordinates and exported to Trimble Office Software. Deliverable to the Air Force was a complete GIS Personal Geodatabase consisting of Feature Datasets, Feature Classes, Fields, and Metadata associated with each of the Feature Classes. Using ArcGIS 10, acquired data in the field was then used to create detailed drawings of the base and overlaid onto established aerial images and presented to base commander for approval.

 

AFCEE, Computer-Aided Drafting, Lowry AFB, Colorado. Using AutoCAD Map Civil 3D 2010 and AutoCAD Land Development for civil drafting, extensive development of area site-wide map showing detailed coverage of asbestos concentrations and plumes in the northern section of base, along with road realignments and construction. Extensive adjustments of Lowry base map files were needed to correct huge error in geographic coordinate designation. Developed new base reference files, which correctly orientated them to the correct coordinate location. Implemented extensive survey grids into base files, which allowed client to identify highest asbestos concentration locations.

US Navy, Geographical Information Systems and Computer-Aided Drafting, Waikele Military Reservation, Oahu, Hawaii. Developed numerous site location maps using ArcGIS 10 for the use of field personnel and military officials to locate and identify the concentration and volume of various environmental hazards at this site. Acquired ammunition concentrations, soil boring locations, and corresponding data in ArcView and prepared extensive detailed site maps for Waikele officials for interpretation and presentation purposes for the cleanup efforts at the reservation.

US Army Corps of Engineers, Computer-Aided Drafting, Pueblo Chemical Depot, Colorado. Used AutoCAD Map Civil 3D 2013 and AutoCAD Land Development for civil drafting for Solid Waste Management Units 1 through 53 along with the extensive environmental construction project at the CM1 and Southwest Terrace site. Prepared detailed system drawings for the treatment plant. Prepared drawings for analysis and implementation of the various environmental work being performed at the base.

 

Iroquois Residential Site, Geographical Information Systems/ Computer-Aided Drafting, Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. Created site location maps using ArcGIS 10 to assist field personnel and project managers in understanding the volume of contaminants in this community. Linked data from monitoring wells to an ArcGIS 10 software program to provide extensive information to officials for their review and recommendations for cleanup.

US Army Corps of Engineers, Computer-Aided Drafting, Fort Carson Military Reservation, Colorado. Developed numerous site location maps for use by field personal on location using AutoCAD Map Civil 3D 2013 and AutoCAD Land Development. Imported soil boring analysis and corresponding data into the site location maps, which are then used extensively for analysis of the environmental cleanup efforts.

Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth Automotive, Computer-Aided Drafting, Front Range of Colorado. Prepared extensive and detailed site location maps for use by project managers and field personnel to obtain environmental data extracted from each of these sites. Obtained exact locations of monitoring wells and soil borings and positioned them on each of the maps using coordinate data from field GPS units.

Phillips Petroleum Company, Computer-Aided Drafting, Nationwide. Used AutoCAD Map Civil 3D 2013 in primarily civil drafting for numerous environmental cleanup sites.

Phillips Petroleum Company, Houston Ship Channel Site, Houston, Texas. Obtained extensive field data to present a very detailed drawing of all direct push wells, monitoring wells and soil boring wells at this location. Imported detailed topographical reference files to develop detailed drawings indicating the exact locations of all wells relative to their elevations at the cleanup site.

US Navy CLEAN, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Created numerous site location maps using ArcGIS 10 for field personnel and military officials of ammunition concentrations, soil boring locations, and corresponding data in GIS.

FE Warren AFB, Wyoming. Using ArcGIS 10, numerous detailed maps were created which contained soil-boring analysis and corresponding data, which were then used extensively for analysis of the environmental cleanup efforts on the base.
